Founding Story & Commitment to Honest Writing
BoneForge started after one too many late-night searches for 'staying mobile after forty' that ended in either frightening worst-case stories or thinly disguised adverts for something to buy. We wanted something calmer and more useful in between, written by people who actually cared about the answer.
So we built a small, slow editorial process. Every draft is checked against public health guidance before it goes near publishing, writers are named rather than hidden behind a brand voice, and we talk directly with physiotherapists and nutrition writers rather than guessing.
We keep things reader-first. There is no paywall, no attempt to upsell you on anything, and if we get something wrong, we want to hear about it and fix it quickly rather than quietly leave it there.
Clarity Over Jargon
We'd rather explain something simply than sound clever. If a sentence needs a dictionary, we rewrite it.
Honesty About Limits
We say when something is a general habit, not a guaranteed fix, and we point you toward a GP when that's the right next step.
Respect For Your Time
Articles get to the point early, because nobody reading about mobility after forty wants to scroll through a life story before the actual advice.
We started BoneForge because too much ageing advice online is either frightening or trying to sell you something. We fact-check what we publish, name every writer, and explain things the way we would to our own family.
